EMTT therapy

Deep cellular healing for pain that won't go away.

Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT) uses high-energy magnetic pulses to reach deep into muscle, tendon, bone, and pelvic floor tissue. It's painless, non-invasive, and you stay fully clothed, making it ideal for chronic conditions that haven't responded to anything else.

How it works

What is EMTT therapy?

Magnetic energy that reaches where hands can't.

EMTT is a next-generation regenerative treatment that uses high-energy magnetic pulses to stimulate healing at the cellular level. The magnetic field penetrates several inches into the body, reaching tissue that's nearly impossible to influence with massage, manual therapy, or topical treatments.

At the cellular level, EMTT helps recharge your body's natural repair processes. It calms inflammation, supports cell membrane function, and accelerates tissue regeneration in areas that have been stuck in chronic pain or dysfunction for months or even years.

At Body Motion, EMTT is administered by licensed physical therapists and usually combined with shockwave and pelvic floor physical therapy as part of Dr. Allison Feldt's regenerative protocols, so deep tissue healing and muscle retraining happen together.

Implant & device screening

Because EMTT uses a magnetic field, every client is screened for implants and devices before treatment. Always tell us about anything implanted in your body.

Typically not suitable

Devices that can interact with a magnetic field.

Pacemakers & defibrillators · Cochlear implants · Neurostimulators · Insulin or infusion pumps

Also typically not suitable

Metal of unknown or magnetic material.

Ferromagnetic aneurysm clips · Shrapnel or metal fragments · Older joint prostheses of uncertain material

Evaluated individually

We check the material and location before treating nearby.

Orthopedic screws, rods & plates · Copper IUDs · Stents · Dental implants

Typically safe

Generally fine once the material and location are verified.

I have been receiving Rejuvenation Technology by way of both EMTT & Shockwave therapy on my knees at Body Motion Physical Therapy . I’m a 65 year young woman, who started having knee pain, out of the blue. Nothing I tried for 2 months helped ease my issues. A friend of mine mentioned this therapy and I decided to try as it’s non surgical. General med just wants to throw prescriptions at it. With each session (I’ve had 4 over about a 4 week period) I began to feel relief and healing from the inside out, each time. The techs are very good at locating the areas that benefit from the therapy, give excellent advice of next steps to work on between secession’s, and the whole staff truly caress out your outcome, right down to scheduling. The ease of arranging appointments is stellar!
I can’t say enough about all of the different avenues of strengthening woman’s bodies they provide and truly appreciate this segway into helping us “2nd adulthood” women too! Thanks for your passion.

I would highly recommend Body Motion to any woman who wants to improve her physical health, even if they have not had children! Dr. Allison and her team are amazing. I didn’t know what I was looking for when I visited them for the first time after 2 children (c-sections) and being a lifelong athlete that now lives with aches and pain. Having regular pelvic floor manual therapy taught me which muscles in my body were causing me grief in addition to relieving some of my pain. The therapists spend the whole session helping clients to improve their body. It has been the most beneficial PT I’ve ever experienced. Shockwave has helped me to loosen/soften my scar tissue with my abdominal scar and I felt results immediately with EMTT. Visiting Body Motion was an investment in my health and I look forward to treating myself to more sessions/self-care in the future. If you’re on the fence about coming in for a visit/consult, definitely give them a shot!

Highly recommend Body Motion, not exactly what they specialize in, but my daughter could hardly walk, was on crutches for severs disease and after doing shockwave and emtt at Body Motion was back to soccer, basketball and volleyball within a few weeks! They are also great for everything pelvic floor!!

EMTT FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is EMTT therapy?

EMTT (Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy) is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy magnetic pulses to stimulate cellular repair deep inside the body, reaching muscle, tendon, bone, and pelvic floor tissue to calm inflammation and support natural healing.

Does EMTT hurt?

Not at all. You stay fully clothed and lie back while the applicator works above the treatment area. There's no heat, pressure, or sensation, and most patients find it one of the most relaxing therapies they've had.

How many sessions will I need?

Most patients need 8 to 24 sessions, often combined with shockwave and pelvic floor physical therapy. Your package is built individually from your evaluation, condition, and goals.

How quickly will I feel results?

Some patients notice a difference within a few sessions; for others, change builds over several weeks. Because EMTT works at the cellular level, improvements continue for weeks after your series ends.

What conditions does EMTT treat?

We use it for urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain, plantar fasciitis, chronic back and neck pain, tendinopathy, joint pain from arthritis or old injuries, and slow-healing sports injuries.

How is EMTT different from shockwave?

Shockwave uses acoustic pressure waves that you feel as rhythmic tapping, and it's great for scar tissue, tendons, and surface to mid-depth tissue. EMTT uses magnetic energy that reaches much deeper with no sensation. We often combine the two so each targets what it does best.

Are there any side effects?

EMTT has virtually no side effects when it's administered with proper screening. The most important safety step is confirming that any implants or devices in your body are compatible with magnetic fields.

Is EMTT covered by insurance?

EMTT is a cash-pay regenerative service and isn't covered by most insurance plans. We're happy to provide a Good Faith Estimate when you schedule at least 3 days in advance. Call (425) 582-0727 or email support@bodymotionpt.com.

Do you offer EMTT near Seattle?

Yes. Our Edmonds clinic serves the Greater Seattle area, including Lynnwood, Shoreline, Bothell, Mountlake Terrace, and north Seattle.

A message from our founder

Why I started Body Motion

Years ago, I was frustrated in my own postpartum body. Since then I've seen too many women in their 40s and 50s dealing with hip, back, and joint pain, and leaking too, who go on to need joint replacements and, later, live with incontinence. That cycle is why I started Body Motion. Most women wait months or even years before getting help, and the one thing I can promise is that doing nothing won't make pelvic floor issues better. The next step is to take action. — Dr. Allison Feldt, PT, DPT
