“I wish I knew about this before…”

By Dr. Allison Feldt, PT, DPT 3 min read

I wish I knew I didn’t have to leak every time I try to workout

I wish I knew there was treatment for the pain with sex I’ve been dealing with

I wish I knew there was a way to prepare for birth when I was pregnant with my first kid, it would have saved me from that traumatic experience

I wish I knew that I could treat my bladder prolapse before I had the surgery because it just made things worse

I wish I knew that I could heal my ab separation because I’ve been doing all these workouts and it’s been really hard to not see improvement

I wish I knew that the pelvic floor is connected to this hip and back pain I’ve been dealing with for years.

WE HEAR THIS EVERYDAY

Every new patient says something like this.

We also hear;

“I’ve been to PT before and it didn’t help”

Let me tell you NOT ALL PT IS EQUAL

I hear stories of clients going in for pain and just getting just a list of exercises.
I hear stories of clients going in for birth prep and being told to come back when they’re postpartum.
I hear clients going in for postpartum pain and being told it’s because they’re overweight and they just need to workout.

At Body Motion PT you goal is our goal
We pair hands on manual therapy both internally and externally to address not just the Pelvic floor but anywhere you’re dealing with pain.

We create CUSTOM, EASY exercise programs that you can actually commit to
We teach you small changes you can do in your daily movements and routines that make a lasting difference and prevent issues from returning

Most importantly we listen, we CARE and we are on your side.
What you are dealing with is not your fault, your body is doing an amazing thing that is was created to do which is COMPENSATE.

Our jobs as providers is to see where your body is working extra hard and support it and help it return to normal while teaching you ways to notice when things start to regress and how to get back to your best.

If you or someone you know is struggling and needs support Request A Discovery Visit our doctors love meeting with people and hearing their stories and being honest about what treatment will look like and if Pelvic Floor PT will help.

We don’t just accept everyone to fill the schedule because we value honest and trust and if we know you need a different treatment or another opinion we will let you know. Not that we don’t want to help EVERYONE but we know that committing to taking care of yourself can be hard and we want to make sure that when you commit to a plan of care at Body Motion PT you can reach your goals!
