Fertility support · Edmonds, WA
Prepare your body to conceive.
Our pelvic physical therapists use specialized preconception techniques to support blood flow, organ mobility, and pelvic floor health, whether you're just starting to try, have been trying for a while, or are going through medical fertility treatment.
How it works
Caring for the physical side of conception.
Fertility is complex, and hormones, genetics, and medical factors all play a role. Physical factors matter too: blood flow to the pelvis, how freely the uterus, ovaries, and surrounding tissue can move, scar tissue and adhesions from past surgery or endometriosis, and pelvic floor tension that can make sex painful.
That's where pelvic floor physical therapy comes in. Using visceral manipulation, adhesion and scar release, pelvic floor treatment, and our Body Motion Wave shockwave protocol, we work to improve circulation and mobility through the pelvis and help your body feel ready for pregnancy.
Our fertility protocols were developed by Dr. Allison Feldt, PT, DPT, and can be used on their own as a holistic approach or as a supportive adjunct to medical fertility care, including IUI and IVF. We're happy to coordinate with your OB or reproductive endocrinologist.

Fertility support FAQs
Physical therapy can't guarantee pregnancy, and fertility has many causes. What we can do is address the physical factors we see most: restricted organ mobility, adhesions, pelvic floor tension, painful periods, and painful sex, so your body is as prepared as possible.
For some women, it's a holistic first step. For others, it's a supportive adjunct to IUI or IVF. We always encourage you to work with your OB or reproductive endocrinologist and are happy to coordinate with them.
Yes. We time and adjust treatment around your cycle and follow any guidance from your fertility clinic, such as pausing certain techniques around transfer.
ACOG recommends an evaluation after 12 months of trying if you're under 35, after 6 months if you're 35 or older, and sooner if you have irregular cycles or known conditions such as endometriosis.
Our Body Motion Wave shockwave protocol uses acoustic pressure waves to support circulation and soften restricted tissue in the pelvis and abdomen. We combine it with hands-on therapy as part of your plan.
We can't treat the underlying conditions, but we can help with the pain, adhesions, pelvic floor tension, and painful sex that often come with them, alongside care from your medical team.
No. An internal assessment can tell us a lot about your pelvic floor, and we'll explain how it can help, but it is always your choice. Much of our fertility work is external.
We start by listening to your story, cycle history, and goals. Then we assess your breathing, posture, abdomen, scar tissue, and pelvic floor, and build a plan that fits your timeline.
It depends on your history and timeline. After your evaluation we'll recommend a plan of care and a 12, 16, or 24 visit package that fits it.

A message from our founder
Years ago, I was frustrated in my own postpartum body. Since then I've seen too many women in their 40s and 50s dealing with hip, back, and joint pain, and leaking too, who go on to need joint replacements and, later, live with incontinence. That cycle is why I started Body Motion. Most women wait months or even years before getting help, and the one thing I can promise is that doing nothing won't make pelvic floor issues better. The next step is to take action. — Dr. Allison Feldt, PT, DPT
