A big focus here at Body Motion is confidence, it is one of our core values. We work together to nurture confidence in all of our team members. We know that when we show up without a shadow of a doubt we can exude that energy and support others so they can get there too! A big part of confidence is trust, whether it’s in your team or yourself.
Trust in yourself is the backbone of confidence and that can be rocked when life flips upside down due to an injury, surgery, pregnancy or birth, a pandemic… routines get thrown off, other emotions get involved and it can be hard to make a decision or feel like you know what to do. We see it so often that patients come to us 2-3, 10 years postpartum at the end of their rope, suffering with pain they have been ignoring, putting their needs on the back burner for others and whenever they try to take a step forward they feel let down.
More often than not our clients come to us having already seen a PT before without relief, went to a primary care provider and were told it was normal, were given medications, referrals for massage, told to lose weight the list goes on. When we reach out for help and are dismissed or don’t find relief it can just fuel the fires of doubt, “what’s wrong with me”, “why is this happening”, “what am I doing wrong?” ,”why isn’t this working” , “am I going to need surgery”. Those thoughts breed fear which can paralyze our decision making skills. “I’ve dealt with it this long. I can go a while longer” we’ve all been there. But one day it does get to a point where you can’t deal with it any longer.
What if we didn’t have to get to that point? What if the information was available, what if there were experts waiting to help address your worries holistically and to really listen to you.
That’s exactly why we offer Discovery Visits, free ebooks, podcasts, newsletters, videos and why I wrote my book. The more information we have, the most empowered we feel to make the right choice.
So I challenge you to ask yourself “If not now when?” When will you be the priority? What will be the last straw? What fear is prohibiting you from taking the next step? Looking at our decisions objectively can help us address where the problem is. We want to help you restore your confidence if you’ve been feeling off, book a Discovery Visit with an Expert Pelvic Floor PT here at Body Motion PT, talk about the issues, get a confirmed diagnosis, tips for relief right away and an outline of what your care would look like. No strings attached, because the more information we can provide to our community the more lives we can change.
