Birth is such an amazing experience, to bring a life into the world is mind-blowing. To create a human life, that I get to nurture and witness and support. That one day this little one in my tum will grow up to be an adult. That one day I will be a grandmother and get to witness my children have this same experience is so joyous. To know that this is just the beginning of an amazing journey. That I get to see my sweet son become an older brother and see my daughter become an older sister again, is such a blessing. I feel like sometimes the miracle of birth is lost in our society, that this person that comes out of me was a dream I had for years and I get to bring this soul earth side. LIKE WOW!
I might just be sitting in my feels but looking past the nursery, the birth, the photos. I can’t wait to see her, to look into her eyes and promise her that I will be there. For those moments, for her entire life and to guide her through it all. I feel so blessed to know that I will be there for it all. That I know my body will be present and capable, that as I age I won’t have to limit my role as a mom and one day as a grandma because my body will be cared for not only by me but by my care team at Body Motion.
That when I decide I want to get back to my workouts I won’t have that same pressure I felt after my first, that I will give myself grace to take things at the pace that is safest for me. That as I age I can still take my kids on hikes and can jump on our trampoline and hear their giggles echo through our yard and one day when I am old and gray I will sit back and admire my life and relish in those moments and be filled with love and admiration for MYSELF, that I did that.
I know my passion comes through but THIS IS WHY! I want all of us to sit back strong, confident and healthy and look back at our life with LOVE. Not pain, stress, worry, anger, disappointment all leading to a deep aching fear of the future. This isn’t just PT, this is about you and the life you and your family deserve. We get these experiences ONCE. There’s no redo and taking your health into your hands and doing the work will lead us to a future where we can be proud and free of pain. We all deserve that!
